Devsan Systems Inc. (“Devsan Systems”) recognizes that you care about information that is captured about you and how it is used. We have created this Privacy Policy to inform you of our information collection, use and sharing practices.

Unless you advise us otherwise, we assume that you have consented to the collection, use and disclosure of your information as set out in this Privacy Policy. You can withdraw your consent for the use of your personal information at any time, subject to legal restrictions and upon reasonable written notice to Devsan Systems. We will let you know the implications, if any, of withdrawing your consent. Practices described in this Privacy Policy apply only to personal information gathered through the devsan.ca website and our mobile applications, and do not necessarily reflect our practices with respect to personal information gathered by other means. We generally obtain your consent prior to collecting, and in any case, prior to using or disclosing your personal information for any purpose. You may provide your consent to us either orally, electronically or in writing. The form of consent that we seek, including whether it is express or implied, will largely depend on the sensitivity of the personal information and the reasonable expectations you might have in the circumstances.

We will always collect your Personal Information by fair and lawful means (for example, when you register with our booking service). We may collect personal information from you directly and/or from third parties, where we have obtained your consent to do so or as otherwise required or permitted by law. We collect and store information about you when you use our website and mobile applications. This information includes, but is not limited to, your registration information, health care appointments, any prescriptions your process through our website or mobile applications, as well as keeping a record of the pages you visit on our mobile applications, our website or other websites we connect to.

We identify the purposes for which we use your personal information at the time we collect such information from you and obtain your consent, in any case, prior to such use. We use this information to provide our services to you, manage your account with us, and to analyze and improve our website and our mobile applications.

In order to protect information that we collect from unauthorized access, copying, use, modification or disclosure, we use various security measures, including, but not limited to, Secure Socket Layer (SSL) encryption technology. You may access and change your personal registration information at any time by accessing Telehippo portal. All prior virtual rapid antigen appointments are available to you by accessing the Telehippo portal. Like many other service providers, our website and mobile applications use “cookies”. Cookies are files stored on your computer or mobile device to help us to identify our users and to optimize your internet experience with us.

Safeguarding Information

Devsan Systems takes the security of your information seriously. We store your information in electronic format within Canada, using computer systems with restricted access and housed in facilities using physical security measures. More generally, we have in place appropriate physical, technological, and organizational safeguards to protect Information against loss, theft, and unauthorized access, use and disclosure. As mentioned, Devsan Systems personnel are obligated to protect Information by adhering to our policies, practices and applicable laws.

You also play an important role in protecting your privacy and the confidentiality of your Information that you provide. I.e.:

Create a strong and unique password for your Telehippo User Account, and update it frequently and periodically. Do not share your User Account or password with anyone. We will never ask you for your password, including in any unsolicited communication such as letters, phone calls or email messages, so please contact Devsan Systems if you receive such a request. Log out of your Account once you are finished using it, especially if you share your device with anyone else. Have a strong and unique password on the device you choose to use. Choose a quiet, private location from which to receive services from our Pharmacists and Communication Providers.

Collecting, using and sharing Data

Devsan Systems de-identifies Information on behalf of Pharmacists and Communication Providers. Under their agreement with Devsan Systems, Pharmacists and Communication Providers permit Devsan Systems to collect and use the resulting de-identified data for purposes that include: quality control activities designed to ensure use of the Devsan Systems Platform in compliance with the Terms of Use; improving the Devsan Systems Platform and more generally, the use of patient-initiated telemedicine services (through an understanding of usage and utilization patterns by Users and Pharmacists and Communication Providers); conducting academic research and designing surveys (to be posted and completed at the discretion of Users).

We identify to whom, and for what purposes, we disclose your personal information, at the time we collect such information from you and obtain your consent to such disclosure. We may transfer your personal information to third party service providers with whom we have a contractual agreement that includes appropriate privacy standards, where such third parties are assisting us with our business – such as service providers that provide telephone support, data storage or processing, or hosting. We do not share the information that you provide to us through this website, except as described in this Privacy Policy.

We do not retain your messages in the ordinary course of providing our Services to you. Once your video messages (including your chats, photos, videos, voice messages, and share location information) are delivered, they are deleted from our servers. Your messages are stored on your own device. To improve performance and deliver media messages more efficiently. We also offer end-to-end encryption for our Services, which is on by default, when you message us. End-to-end encryption means that your messages are encrypted to protect against us and third parties from reading them.

We contract with third parties to provide services in connection with the operation and information offered on our website and mobile applications, as well as other areas of our business. We provide limited user information to these third parties, and authorize them to only use this information in connection with the services they perform for Devsan Systems.

We may release provided information as the law or legal process requires for up to 24 months after collection, or such as is necessary to protect the rights, property or safety of Devsan Systems, or any of our respective affiliates, business partners, customers or others. We comply with all applicable privacy laws and regulations including, without limitation, the Personal Health Information Protection Act, 2004 (PHIPA Ontario), Health Insurance and Accountability Act Omnibus Rule of 2013 (HIPAA), Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) . We will periodically provide our users with promotions provided to us by our Vendor Partners. These promotions will be sent in the form of an email message. Users have the opportunity to “opt out” of receiving these promotions at any time.

The devsan.ca website and our mobile applications may from time to time include links to third party websites. If you provide information to another organization on another website through such a link, we will not be responsible nor liable for the collection, use or disclosure of any such information. Before providing any such information, you should first examine the other organization’s privacy policy.

The transmission of data or information (including communications by e-mail) over the internet is not secure and is always subject to possible loss, interception or modification. We, therefore, do not assume any liability for any damages you may experience or costs you may incur as a result of any transmissions over the internet. Policy is in place to support employees and contractors in determining their responsibilities with respect to Confidential Information of the company and assist in identifying circumstances under which the interests of the employee may conflict with interests of the Company Employment contracts contain confidentiality or nondisclosure and non-compete clauses in accordance with PHIPA, HIPAA and PIPEDA.

We will respond to your written request within thirty (30) days. Acceptable proof of identification will be required before responding to such a request.

Changes to this Privacy Policy may be made at any time. Please check this page periodically to review any changes that have been made.
